At Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center, Dr. Michael Thornton carefully listens to your personal goals and desires and personally evaluates your medical history, previous surgeries, skin type, wrinkles, skin elasticity, soft tissue volume, and bone structure.  In order to achieve the most desirable effect, you may decide to combine multiple facial cosmetic procedures at the same time.  For example, a brow lift, cosmetic eyelid surgery, facial liposuction, chin implant, fat transfer, and skin resurfacing, are often performed alongside a face lift procedure. 

Our ultimate goal is your satisfaction and improving your appearance without obvious signs of surgery.  Dr. Michael Thornton pays meticulous attention to detail using traditional yet modern techniques in face lift surgery.  All face lift incisions are well hidden and are carefully placed within the natural creases of your ears and extended around your earlobes and into the hairline. Deep facial tissues are altered and excess skin is removed to restore a more youthful and natural appearance. 

The discomfort following a face lift is usually minimal.  Medications are prescribed to help you rest comfortably for several days following surgery.  Bandages are removed in the office the next day after surgery to reveal normal swelling and bruising, which may be more pronounced in some clients more than others.  The puffiness and discoloration peaks about 72 hours after surgery and gradually resolves within weeks.  After a few days, however, you may begin applying makeup to conceal any discoloration.  Stitches are removed five to seven days following surgery and you may resume most of your normal daily activities within two weeks.  Most clients enjoy a more youthful, rested, natural, and beautiful appearance and increase in self-confidence.
