36 y/o female professional model presents with upper and lower abdominal wall laxity along with a severe supra-umbilical rectus diastasis defect (widening of the muscles) following child birth — as seen on the lateral views. She wanted minimal scarring and a well hidden incision within her bikini region.
We opted for a minimally invasive approach by floating (detaching) her belly button and repairing the rectus abdominal wall defect along the entire length of her abdomen then reattaching her belly button to its original position, thus minimizing any visible scarring. Finally, a minimal amount of excess skin was removed through her scar that is well hidden within her bikini region. Her abdomen is tighter and the rectus diastasis defect has been eliminated. She is happy and pleased.
