Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center has been successfully performing JUVEDERM dermal filler (Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus) injections since 2008 to clients in Mansfield, Arlington, and Fort Worth, TX.  Juvederm is an in-office procedure that takes less about 30 minutes.

As of March 2012 our Juvederm line up has changed, as we are now offering Juvederm XC, the newest and smoothest gel filler from Allergan.  Juvederm XC is infused with lidocaine (local anesthesia) to minimize discomfort during and after the procedure.

All Juvederm XC injections are personally performed by Dr. Michael Thornton.  Although well qualified, we choose not to use mid level nurse practitioners or physician assistants to perform our Juvederm XC dermal filler injections. Because of this individualized, surgeon-level attention, we try to minimize complications and provide you with the best results.  In addition, Dr. Thornton utilizes micro blunt tipped cannulas during injection of Juvederm XC thereby minimizing bruising and discomfort.

Juvederm XC injectable dermal filler is used to restore volume and fullness to the skin for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.  The most commonly treated wrinkles are those around the nose and mouth, known as the nasolabial folds (NLF), marionette lines, and oral commisure lines.  Juvederm XC is also an excellent option for female clients wishing to have plumper and more youthful appearing lips.

The injectable results are immediate and generally last 4-6 months, depending on the area treated and the product administered. At your request, a “dental block” anesthesia may be used to minimize discomfort. Treatments are typically scheduled two to three times per year and having touch-up treatments before the product has fully dissipated may enhance the lasting effect. Many clients confuse injectable soft tissue fillers with BOTOX, but in fact, the two products work entirely different. However, many clients have been very pleased after receiving treatments with both products simultaneously.

Juvederm XC is made from non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA), a naturally occurring substance that already exists in the human body and is specifically formulated to provide volume and fullness to the aging face. This product is free from animal proteins and minimizes any risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reactions.
